You just need to get the raw sound data and build a wavetable synth and you can do anything! (and it’s free!)

Never had any experience with raw sound before, and I always wondered where all the cool people who made “professional” music got their sound. But you see, I live in the suburbs where people drive crappy cars and you hear music everywhere. So I don’t have the best stereo equipment to listen to music, but I do have all sorts of things to listen to the music I make!

I do have a program that lets me record sounds from any instrument, and it records in sound format.

I’m still learning a ton about sound and hardware, so my question was mostly if anyone here had any experience with this and how they were doing it, and what they were using.

I have used the “play wave file” and “record wave file” commands in Audacity. I have not had to do anything to the sound to make it useable in Audacity. I think it is because I am using an.mp3 file for the sound. I haven’t tried it with other sound formats.

I guess what I’m wondering is how people are doing this?

For example, I don’t know ce698b3d9e
