Create and record macros from any application. These can be recorded with any keyboard key combinations that you want to use frequently.
KEYMACRO will capture any keyboard key combination that you assign as a macro and then execute the same key combination when that particular macro is pressed in any application.
To do this KEYMACRO has to start recording when you press the Macro button (Macro icon on the toolbar) and stop when you press the Stop button (Stop icon on the toolbar). You are able to press stop before starting to record the key combination.
Once the key combination you want to assign as a macro is completed it will be recorded and you can review it at any time. To remove the recorded key combination simply press the Stop button.
KEYMACRO works with any keyboard keyboard layout. You can use your own keyboard layout or convert to the one by default on your system (for example, in the US English keyboard layout you will be able to assign Alt as the macro).
KEYMACRO includes all the keyboard key codes on the standard keyboard layout and it has additional function keys that you can use to assign macros to.
KEYMACRO also includes keyboard modifier keys such as Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Windows keys (Super key), etc.
KEYMACRO includes a method to remap your capslock key to another key such as Tab or Search.
KEYMACRO can even include any special characters.
The macro engine can handle all keyboard layouts: Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Russian and Japanese.
KEYMACRO allows you to define the following actions for your key combinations:
• Run a program
• Open a file
• Switch to a new tab in your web browser
• Select a file and save it
• Execute a command from the command prompt or from a shell script
• Open a folder
• Print a file
• Start a video file
• Exit the application
Keyboard key combinations are assigned as macros by pressing the Macro button (Macro icon on the toolbar). Once you are done with the recording of the macro you can review it by pressing the Macro button again. You can stop pressing the Macro button before recording a macro.
Keyboard modifiers, including control and windows keys can also be assigned as macros.
You can customize the command prompt to execute when you assign a macro to the key combination F7. The command prompt can be customized to execute any command that you want.
